After a LONG day of travel, we have arrived safely in Anchorage!
Having the opportunity to be prayed over by our church family right before heading to the airport definitely helped us begin on the right foot. We are grateful for the Connection Point Family - for your support, your prayers, and your encouragement as we serve this week.
Our first flight took off from KCI, lasting around 90 minutes to Denver. Our three hour layover in Denver was well spent... it gave us a chance to sit and relax before sitting for another 6 hours! The flight to Anchorage was a bit snug; some slept better than others.
We were surprised to land in Anchorage at 10:45pm local time (1:45am Central time), to be greeted by the sunshine! The sun never quite went all the way down, but I think we were tired enough that it didn't matter. After driving about 45 minutes, we arrived in Palmer where we will be staying and serving for the week. We are grateful for the Palmer Church of the Nazarene for hosting us! Our airbeds did their job, the food is way too good to be mission trip food, and the view is INCREDIBLE!
We are currently preparing to lead our first park Bible Club this afternoon.
