Tragedy is happening all around us. It feels like darkness is closing in. Loved ones are dying. The innocent are being victimized. Natural disasters are destroying communities. Careers are being ruined. Leaders are abusing power. And families are falling apart.
But if we allow ourselves to view every part of the the past, the present, and the future in a new light, we will see that it all ties together with a messy yet beautiful scarlet thread that extends from and always comes back to the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ, through which we have abundant hope.
Come celebrate light. Celebrate life. Celebrate hope.
