Day 2 Create-A-Camp Reminders

We had a great first day of Create-A-Camp! Thank you parents for being understanding of our first day check-in challenges. We have made some changes and hope that this will help speed up the check-in process.

Reminder:  Aftercare closes at 6:00 P.M.  You must pick up your child by 6:00 and feed them before the program.  Thank you!

*If you desire for your child to have sunscreen while outdoors, please put this on them before coming to camp or have your child bring their own and put it on themselves. All tour guides and leaders are unable to apply sunscreen to campers. We are looking forward to Day 2!

Notes:
  • Your child received a backpack from his/her tour guide.  Please send it with your child each day.
  • T-shirts can be picked up in the main lobby.  Your child should wear this shirt to Family Night on Friday June 24.
  • ALL campers must have a completed Medical Release Form filled out before entering the Worship Center on Tuesday morning!
  • A first-aid station is located near the Main Lobby. All medications (in a labeled Ziploc bag) must be left with the nursing staff at check-in and picked up on Friday.
  • All children must wear tennis shoes daily.
  • Any special equipment that children are asked to bring for a class must be labeled clearly.
  • Lost and Found items will be brought to the Main Lobby.
  • If you need to get a message to our Create-A-Camp staff, call our main line (816) 353-1994 and leave a message with the Receptionist (M-TH).  On Friday, email kids@connectionpoint.tv.

Daily Check-In/Check-Out:
  • Each day, please enter and exit through the doors under the steeple at the front of the building and use the computerized check-in system.  Please do not drop off your kids at the door. You must come in the building to check them in and to pick them up. Make sure you leave with a parent security tag for each camper. You must have this for pick-up!
  • To pick up your child, enter the Worship Center through the middle doors and go to your child's row to get them.  Present the “Parent Security Tag” (that you receive in the morning) to the Tour Guide.  Note:  If someone else will be picking up your child, take a photo of the badge and text it to the person who will be picking up your child. All staff/volunteers are trained to ask for matching security tags to release campers. Exit through the designated doors.

Before/Aftercare:
  • Use the doors under the steeple and follow the signs. On Monday morning, please pay for any before or aftercare sessions your child will be attending for the entire week unless you paid in advance.   When checking in, let our check-in volunteers know if your child will be staying for aftercare that day.  Aftercare closes at 6:00 p.m.

Early Pick-up:
  • If you need to pick your child up early from camp, please let us know when you will be picking up your child on the provided Early Pick-up clipboard and make sure your child receives a green wrist band.  Let us know what time you will need to pick your child up.  Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to that time.  Early pick-up is not allowed after 1:00pm.

Lunches/Snacks/Allergies:
  • Allergies should be listed on the bottom of your child’s name tag.  If not, please stop by the nurse’s station to let us know.  A lunch menu and list of daily snacks is available at the nurse’s station.
