SPECIAL EVENTS

Door-to-Door Invite Project

We want to invite our Lee's Summit Campus neighbors to our Campus Launch Carnival on Saturday, September 9, and our Launch Day on Sunday, September 10, but we need your help! We want these invitations to have a personal touch, so we are asking our members to go door to door on Saturday, August 26, to personally invite Lee's Summit residents to join us. We will assign you a neighborhood, provide the info flyers, and give you ideas on what to say. We estimate it will take a family only 10-15 minutes to deliver flyers to an entire street, so if we all come together for two hours on a Saturday morning, we'll have no problem inviting all of our Lee's Summit Campus neighbors!

If you are interested in the Door-to-Door Invite Project, contact Jodee Melton. We'll see you at the Lee's Summit Campus at 9:00am on Saturday, August 26.

Lee's Summit Launch Team

We are launching our Lee's Summit Campus in just a few weeks on Sunday, September 10, and it's not too late to get involved! We still need men, women, families, kids, and couples of all ages to be willing to step out of their comfort zone and say, "Here am I, send me" (Isaiah 6:8). There will be many different places to serve, and no matter your personality or talents, there is a spot for you.

We need your help in:
Preschool Ministry – 20 total
Kid Ministry – 34 total
Student Ministry – 4 total
Connect Team – 38 total
Media – 12 total
LifeGroups – 20 total
Hospitality – 8 total

If you are interested in getting involved or finding out more information, contact the Lee’s Summit Campus Pastor Chad Melton.

If you enjoy your coffee in the morning, you know how great it is when you come to church and have coffee available. But that coffee doesn’t just show up on its own. Worship & Music

The purpose of Connection Worship is to honor God by preparing and prompting His people in corporate and individual expressions of adoration. What does that mean exactly? It means everything we do in Connection Worship is for the glory of God. We play and sing together in worship and praise on a weekly basis, which helps fuel our daily worship as individuals. Check out our worship page for current opportunities for serving through music.

Preschool Ministry

Every Sunday, our volunteers show up and work together in their unique roles to create a loving environment for our preschoolers. Sontown is completely run by volunteers. We could not exist without their leadership. Here are some of the roles you could step into:

  • Love and care for an assigned group of infants or toddlers.
  • Consistently connect with their families.

LIFEGROUP LEADER (2 years-kindergarten)

  • Lead a Small Group of 2- 5 year olds.
  • Build relationships and consistently connect with their families.
  • Lead through every section of the curriculum.

CONNECT TEAM

  • Greet families as they enter the preschool environment.
  • Guide families through the process of checking into classrooms.

WORSHIP LEADERS

  • Lead the preschoolers in worship with fun music that is full of hand motions and movements.

STUDENT LEADERS

  • Must be a student in 7th-12th grade.

Student Ministry

The most essential key to the success of Student Ministry is the volunteer. We are always looking for leaders who are willing to invest in our students on a consistent basis. There are a few basic roles that can be filled:

LIFEGROUP LEADER
You would have the privilege of meeting with a specific group of 12-15 students each week! The goal of this time is to discuss the teaching from the Student Worship Service and to simply hear about what they have going on in their lives. Student Worship happens each Sunday morning at 9:30am.

UNDERGROUND VOLUNTEER
The Underground is an exciting weekly ministry that focuses on reaching the students in our community. Volunteers are asked to assist in a variety of ways, specifically with check-in, serving snacks, leading table group discussion, and simply spending time with the students during free time.

MEDIA VOLUNTEER
We use media in multiple ways in Student Ministry. The most needed times are during the Student Worship Service (Sundays at 9:30am) and The Underground (Wednesdays at 5:00 & 7:00pm).
