Life Group
Scripture: Proverbs 1-4
Christ/Gospel Connections:
All of Scripture points back to Jesus. In our study each week, every age group’s lesson includes a note about how the message connects to Christ. Use these Christ/Gospel Connections as a springboard for meaningful discussion about who Jesus is and what He has done for us.
Preschool – Solomon taught that people should trust in God. Jesus trusted in God, His Father, and followed His plan by coming to earth to die on the cross for our sins. Jesus rose again. When we trust Him, we have forgiveness and life with God forever.
Kids – Solomon’s proverbs encourage God’s people to trust in the Lord. Jesus trusted in God His Father throughout His life on earth, all the way to His death on the cross for our sins. He rose again and continues to lead us to love and trust God the Father.
Students – God’s path is a path toward knowing and trusting in Jesus. He is the only path to follow for He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). No other path leads to God or to eternal peace.
Adults – God’s path is a path toward knowing and trusting in Jesus. He is the only path to follow for He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). In Christ alone can we find salvation.
