Title: The Aftermath of the Christmas Story
Scripture: Matthew 2:13-23
Overview: After Jesus is born, the story does not immediately become peaceful or easy. Joseph is warned in a dream to flee to Egypt to protect Jesus from King Herod. Herod’s violent response brings fear and grief to the nation, and eventually, God leads Joseph and his family back—not to Bethlehem, but to Nazareth—fulfilling prophecy and continuing His plan of redemption.

“Follow the Path” Trust Game
Supplies:
Instructions:
Connect the Dots:
Just like Joseph trusted God’s direction step by step, we can trust God to lead us—even when we can’t see the whole path.
- Painter’s tape or paper
- A blindfold (or have kids close their eyes)
Instructions:
- Create a simple path on the floor using tape or paper shapes.
- One person is blindfolded while another gives verbal directions to guide them along the path.
- Switch roles and repeat.
- Afterward, talk about how it felt to trust someone else’s voice.
Connect the Dots:
Just like Joseph trusted God’s direction step by step, we can trust God to lead us—even when we can’t see the whole path.
