Title: Will You Be Found Faithful?
Scripture: Matthew 25:14–30
Overview: Jesus' parable of the talents reminds us that everything we have belongs to God and has been entrusted to us for His purposes. While God gives different gifts, opportunities, and responsibilities to each believer, He expects every follower of Christ to be faithful with what they have received. One day, each of us will stand before the Lord and give an account. The goal is not comparison with others, but faithful obedience to the Master who has entrusted us with His work.

Application: This week, identify one specific way God has entrusted something to you—your time, abilities, relationships, finances, or influence. Life Group
Scripture: Matthew 11, 14; Mark 6; Luke 3, 7
Christ/Gospel Connections:
All of Scripture points back to Jesus. In our study each week, every age group’s lesson includes a note about how the message connects to Christ. Use these Christ/Gospel Connections as a springboard for meaningful discussion about who Jesus is and what He has done for us.
Preschool – John learned that Jesus really is the Savior. We can tell others about Jesus too. Some people may not want to listen, but we keep sharing because Jesus is worth it.
Kids – When face with suffering, John was reminded that Jesus is the Messiah who had come to bring the good news of salvation. Followers of Jesus will face troubles, but they have hope: Everyone who trusts in Jesus for salvation will live in His kingdom forever.
Students – When Jesus answered John the Baptist’s question, He pointed to miracles only the Messiah would have authority to do. Jesus would later demonstrate His authority over sin and evil in greater way through His crucifixion and resurrection. While many continue to reject Him, one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess He is Lord (Philippians 2:9-11).
Adults – Though the evidence of Jesus and His works is historically accurate, many will reject Him as Lord and Savior (Matthew 7:13). Still, we have a mission to share the gospel with others to give people the opportunity to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Pray Together
- Thank God for faithfully entrusting each of us with gifts, opportunities, and responsibilities, and for sending Jesus, the promised Messiah, who proved His authority through His life, death, and resurrection.
- Commit to being found faithful with everything God has entrusted to you, serving Him wholeheartedly while pointing others to Christ.
- Ask God to strengthen your faith, help you trust Jesus in every circumstance, and give you courage to faithfully share the hope of the gospel with those around you.

Instructions:
Have each family member write or draw three things God has entrusted to them (such as a talent, relationship, opportunity, or responsibility). Place the papers in the basket, then take turns choosing one and discussing one practical way that gift can be used to honor God this week. Close by praying that each person would be found faithful with what God has entrusted to them.
