Summary
The story of Job is often a hard lesson for us to learn. Job loved, respected, and worshipped God. God allowed Satan to torment Job to (1) prove to Satan the depth of Job’s love for God, and (2) to allow the suffering to strengthen Job’s dependence/trust in God. God is not afraid of your questions. From Job’s life, we learn that when we have a genuine desire to know God more, our questions will come from a desire to know Him, or see our sin. When our questions come from a place of vindication or to prove God wrong, that’s where we often see God respond harshly. Our goal is to trust Him more because God is worthy of our trust.
