We are taking the gospel all over the community through several hands-on opportunities to reach and bless the homeless and hurting in Kansas City for our next Go Day on Saturday, November 9.

Here are some ways you can GO:
Distribute Food and Supplies at Homeless Camps
Decorate for Christmas at various City Union Mission locations
Serve a Veterans Celebration Meal at City Union Mission Men’s Center
Participate in a patriotic chapel service at City Union Mission Men’s Center
Lead family fun at the City Union Mission Family Center
Assemble Hope Network food and supplies bags

Through Gifts of Hope, you can provide Christmas gifts for children in our community who would otherwise have nothing to open on Christmas morning. Beginning next Sunday, stop by the Gifts of Hope table in the main lobby to select or “adopt” a boy or girl from birth to 18 years old. Each child’s information will provide their gender, age, and some gift ideas based on their preferences and needs. Please consider adopting a child through Hope Network’s Gifts of Hope as an individual, with your family, or as a Life Group and enjoy blessing a child and family in need. Stop by the Gifts of Hope table in the lobby next Sunday or contact Jacque Nordhus at jacque.nordhus@hopenetworkraytown.org or 816-778-1105 to sponsor a child. All gifts need to be delivered to the church on or before Sunday, November 24.

Your family is invited to participate in the next Family Commitment Sunday (formerly Parent-Child Dedication) on Sunday, November 24. Family Commitment is Milestone 1 on the Legacy Milestone Path for parents of children birth through Pre-K. We want to walk alongside you and equip you as the primary disciple maker in your child’s life. On this special Sunday, we want to celebrate your commitment and pray over you and your family. Since October is Ministry Appreciation Month, the Finance and Personnel Team lay leaders would like to encourage our church family to take the opportunity to bless our staff with a Christmas gift to express our appreciation for their hard work this year. Our staff consistently displays a high calling and commitment to our Lord and to Connection Point Church, often amidst challenging circumstances. If you feel led to participate in a fundraising effort to provide Christmas bonuses to our staff, you may donate at connectionpoint.tv/give or via envelope by Sunday, November 17. Please designate the gift to “Staff Christmas.” Thank you for your prayerful consideration and your faithful support of Connection Point Church!
