Sunday: December 22, 2024
Series: Home for Christmas
Sermon: Our Heavenly Home

Scripture

John 14:1-2 – “Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?"

Summary

Pastor Brian focused on our “Our Heavenly Home” in our final Home for Christmas sermon. We learned that Jesus offers hope and comfort by promising a personal dwelling place in God's presence, emphasizing that He is the only way to salvation.

The sermon explored how Jesus prepares a heavenly home for believers, transforming our understanding of Christmas from a simple holiday to an eternal invitation. Through biblical passages in John 14:1-6 and Revelation 21:27—22:5, the Scripture reminds us that despite our confusion and often lack of trust, God offers us an undeserved place in His eternal home, inviting us to trust Him completely.

Pray Together

Father God, thank You for preparing a special home for us, for loving us beyond our understanding, and for sending Jesus to show us the way. We ask for Your guidance to trust You more deeply, to see Your love in our daily lives, and to help us remember that You are always with us. We commit ourselves to living in a way that reflects Your presence, our hope, and Your truth with one another and with those near us. In Jesus' name, Amen.
