5 Habits to Grow Your Faith in 2025

As we step into 2025, it’s natural to reflect on our spiritual growth and the habits that shape our faith. At Connection Point Church, we believe that cultivating consistent, godly habits is essential for aligning with God’s plan. Pastor Brian’s recent sermon highlighted five key habits that will help us grow deeper in our relationship with Christ and experience His good works. Let’s explore these transformative habits and how they can shape our walk with God.

1. Worship Regularly

Worship is more than just singing songs on Sunday. It’s about gathering with others to glorify God consistently. Hebrews 10:25 reminds us, “not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other.” Worshiping together strengthens our faith and fuels our spiritual growth. If attending church has been inconsistent, make 2025 the year you commit to weekly worship. There’s something uniquely powerful about praising God in community.

2. Grow Through Relationships

Spiritual growth thrives in the context of relationships. Proverbs 27:17 says, “Iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens another.” Connection Point’s Life Groups and 2:7 Discipleship classes provide opportunities to grow through meaningful connections. Surrounding yourself with a supportive community will challenge and encourage you to mature in Christ. If you’re not part of a Life Group, take the step to join one this year.

3. Serve with Your Gifts

God has equipped each of us with unique gifts intended to build the church. 1 Peter 4:10 reminds us, “Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others.” Serving allows us to step into the good works God has prepared for us (Ephesians 2:10). Whether it’s volunteering in children’s ministry, joining the worship team, or working behind the scenes, serving not only blesses others but deepens our faith.

4. Give Generously

Generosity reflects our trust in God’s provision. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, “Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver.” Giving financially is an act of worship and faith. It aligns our hearts with God’s mission and cultivates joy. If regular giving isn’t yet a habit, consider making it a priority in 2025. Online giving makes it easy to stay consistent.

5. Go and Share the Gospel

The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) calls us to take the gospel to the world. Sharing our faith isn’t reserved for pastors; it’s a calling for every believer. Pastor Brian emphasized the importance of living out and passing on our faith to those around us. Look for opportunities to engage in conversations about Christ with friends, coworkers, and neighbors. Simple acts of love and testimony can make a lasting impact.

Putting It into Practice

Building these habits requires intentionality. Here are a few practical steps to integrate them into your daily life:

  • Set aside time for daily prayer and Scripture reading.
  • Prioritize Sunday worship and join a Life Group.
  • Volunteer to serve in one area of ministry.
  • Schedule regular times for giving and generosity.
  • Plan intentional moments to share your faith story.
2025 holds incredible opportunities for spiritual growth. Let’s commit to these five habits and trust that God will continue to work in and through us. May this year be one of deeper faith, stronger community, and greater impact for His kingdom.
